Ohio Roller Girls Feature: Jaden Blayz

Q1: How did you get into started with the Ohio Roller Girls? How long have you been skating?
A: Myspace! Being that I was pretty much born on to a pair roller skates (my parents met at a roller rink,) I had roller skating up in my interests section, and I guess the OHRG saw this and friend requested me. There was a bulletin posted for tryouts, and I decided to go 'check' it out. It was love at first hit, and I have been a member since 2006.

Q2: What position do you play?
A: I can play them all, but most likely you can find me as a mid-blocker or jammer kickin some a$$ and takin some names.

Q3: What makes you tougher than the next girl?
A: In comparison to your ordinary girl next door, the fact that I play roller derby is evidence enough. However, out on the track, I am a little bit crazier than most of the girls skating around me, so that make me dangerous.

Q4: How many tattoos do you have?
A: 3, but one of them is made up of 6.

Q5: Where do you get your ink?
A: My first was from Stained Skin by Naryan (sp?), The second and third were both from Evolved, the smaller one by a guest artist and the star piece was done by Ana Banana aka Donna de la Muerte.

Q6: Any plans for future tattoos?
A: Absolutely! They include but are not limited to the following: my dog's paw prints, the spectral logo, heart with skull in corner, means that death is nothing to fear; techno music, possibly my teams logo, pink spade w/ white skull and cross bone inside..

Q7: When you're not kicking ass in the rink, what are you up to?
A: Techno music especialy the weekend long movement festivals, cooking & eating; I love food! a derby girls gotta eat! Scrapbooking my derby games, techno adventures, & my pampered lil pooch. Also, I love to chillax; part chill rest relax!
